Innovating with Care: Building Effective and Responsible Human–AI Service Systems

AI is transforming how we deliver and experience services—raising profound questions about responsibility, equity, and trust. We seek research that innovates with care. Organizations are rapidly developing AI-augmented services, fundamentally changing how we deliver and experience services. While we value innovation, the explosion of AI integration raises profound questions about responsibility, equity, and trust. Recognizing the perils of unintended consequences, we seek research promoting innovation with care, that not only advances technological frontiers but also integrates ethical reflection and social responsibility. Together, we set our sights on information systems scholarship that ensures that AI fulfills its potential for our collective good. [read more]

Session Formats

Presentation Session

Session for polished manuscripts targeting leading journals in Information Systems. Each paper will receive generous time for presentation and discussion, creating space for serious scholarly exchange. Feedback targets theoretical contribution, framing choices, and anticipated reviewer reactions.

Best suited for: Authors who want deep, candid feedback from senior scholars at a critical stage of revision.

Research Incubator Session

A small-group, developmental session in an Interactive Forum format. Authors briefly present their core idea and identify bottlenecks. Senior scholars serve as strategic advisors focused on unblocking research—clarifying next steps, sharpening theoretical lenses, and strengthening project trajectories.

Best suited for: Projects with compelling phenomena or early insights facing walls in theory building, framing, or design.

Why Submit to TSWIM?

Non-Archival Workshop

Papers are NOT published in proceedings, ensuring you retain full copyright to submit to journals later.

Editors as Mentors

Participants engage directly with Editors who act as mentors, not just evaluators.

Low-Pressure, High-Trust Environment

Scholars gain constructive guidance, fresh perspectives, and opportunities for collaboration without reputational risk.
